The Moon is a wondrous crazy thing and it affects us all in the same wondrously crazy ways. None of us are immune to her powers of persuasion especially when she is in her full form, commanding your attention, we all fall under her spell running strictly on instinct. We are all children of the Great Mother & Father, they made us all, giving us all the same sensitivities to the moon a most sacred symbol.
There are so many clues in our genetic makeup that suggest we were all meant to be one people. But humans have always been their own worst enemy as we tend to fear the things we do not completely understand. This has been who we are since the beginning of time and man still has not learned to simply ACCEPT!!
MOON BONDING CEREMONY
(traditionally held on the New Moon – this is a HandFasting preferably done when the moon is new and growing – symbolizing the couples new bond and their growing devotion to one another. Couple – walking from opposite ends of a long lighted path towards each other toward their future.) This ceremony works for any types of couples.
CLOTHING: Some prefer nude or very light or see through clothing.
COUPLE: Stand on opposite ends and walking slowly along the path from opposite ends, towards their future.
Hurricane lanterns: Lined a path for the couple to walk towards where the couple will meet.
Drumming: the drummers for the male starts representing his heartbeat
Drumming: the drummers for the female starts representing her heartbeat The setting: Hurricane lanterns form a path leading to a circle of skyclad participants or wearing light see through black or white gowns.
Drumming starts representing the heartbeat of the female (or partner).
Drums stop for a few moments, then start up again more softly but in a new rhythm.
They are mismatched at first, but as the couple gets closer and closer to each other the drum beats begin to match up
